Summer 2019 is right around the corner, and LBS is ready to dance with you all summer! Our summer schedule starts June 24. Summer is a great time to help students build skills, confidence, and camaraderie during school break.
We do encourage our dancers to take some time off for rest and relaxation! We want every dancer and our staff to have that quality time in the summer with their loved ones. With that in mind, we also strongly recommend that dancers continue their training before and after their summer vacations.
Preparing your body for the next dance season is a key factor in summer training. If you are looking to improve your technique, gain strength, or increase flexibility, then summer classes will help you make faster progress. Taking class in the summer also allows you to stay physically fit and in turn, reduces your injury risk—a huge advantage! Not taking summer classes means two months of no dancing and September can then feel pretty tough as you work to get back the strength and flexibility you’ll need to dance well.
