Testimonials

“I grew up dancing at LBS, and graduated from the program in 2006, then was able to put myself through college through dance scholarships, thanks to the excellent training I received. This school shaped my self confidence, discipline, and future health in a way that I don’t think I could have gotten anywhere else. Last night I returned after many years away and took a class at the studio. Watching Linda with the young girls in the class, I was reminded why this is the only studio around that I will bring my own children to. Linda not only teaches in a way that is respectful and confidence-boosting, but she teaches proper fundamentals from the beginning, which is essential to future success, longevity, and injury prevention. This is not something you will get at every studio. Linda and the rest of the staff are true professionals. They have high standards, and will help your child grow and meet them at their pace, while fostering a love of dance. And finally, the performance opportunities through City Center Ballet are amazing. Being able to dance alongside professional dancers and really learning what the ballet is all about, is an incredible opportunity for any aspiring dancer, instructor, or choreographer. We are so lucky to have this in the Upper Valley. “

“It was a joy to work with your students who are so far ahead of most other students, especially in terms of approach, a strong foundation and learning habits. Thanks for inviting me up to share in what you have nurtured and created.”

“Attending LBS has given me so many amazing and rewarding opportunities in the dance world, in my community, and with my peers. Even though we are a small studio we have a very high quality of training due to the hard work of Linda, Jen, and all of the extraordinary guest artists and staff members they bring in. It is so easy to feel at home here because everyone is so supportive and loves participating in the art form. My experience studying at LBS and performing with CCB has shaped who I am today and make up some of my favorite memories. LBS has given me a gratifying outlet for hard work and passion and the staff here have taught me some of the most valuable life lessons. The experience that I have had in the dance world has made me appreciate how lucky I am to go to a school that has such a high caliber of technical training and such a supportive peer environment.“

“Lebanon Ballet School has been not only a place for me to dance but a home. I have been studying here for over ten years now, the staff is so caring and always ready to take all of us to the next level. Dancing here has opened my mind and ballet has danced right into my heart! In the past two years I have decided that nothing is going to stop me from going on and continuing my passion that Lebanon Ballet School has started! It is truly a fantastic place for education in movement!”

“I danced at Lebanon Ballet School from the age of five up until my senior year in high school. Through those years, I learned how to grow not only as a dancer, but as a person. Through the teaching ways of the staff, I learned how to enhance my dancing, and learned about discipline, time management, and how to strategies through every day life.

Not only did Lebanon Ballet School give me a place to dance, it was my second home and a way to focus on the thing that I love most; to dance like no one is watching. The staff were extremely supportive of my endeavors, and opened up their hearts and minds to aide me in becoming the person that I am today.

Without Lebanon Ballet School, I wouldn’t be dancing with Ballet Austin in their trainee program this year. The classes that I took there throughout the years, and the people that were brought in to guest teach and that I worked with made me realize that anything is possible as long as you focus and set your mind to getting what you want.

Thank you for all that you have done. I know that no matter where I go, Lebanon Ballet School will always be a second home, and the students and staff there can always be considered my second family.”

“I began dancing at LBS when I was nine years old and have been here ever since. I’ve been in and out over the years but every time I come back to the studio it feels like coming home. The training I received here through classes and performance opportunities with City Center Ballet have given me the technical foundation necessary to carry me forward in dancing and have opened many doors for me. But even beyond technical training this school has been a constant base in my life. The friendships I’ve made here and the support I’ve received have never wavered. I’ve seen young girls grow into young women here and go on to wonderful places, living fuller lives because of what they received at LBS. It is a community that encourages development, self discipline and growth and it’s a group of people who support and care for each other. It has been an incredible part of my life for years and I am so grateful for everything.”

“Lebanon Ballet School and City Center Ballet provided world class training in an intimate and nurturing small town environment. The artistic and educational experiences I had there are close to my heart and integral to the artist and woman I am today. I was able to perform repertoire I would never have had the opportunity to if I were at any other school or student company. An understanding of a professional setting was instilled in me at such a young age. However, at the same time, Linda fully understood that her students were young girls developing into young women and the sensitivity as well as discipline needed. I don’t know how to articulate the deep respect and love I was able to cultivate for dance at Lebanon Ballet School. I strongly believe the introspective but presentation conscious approach to the art of dance at LBS has allowed me to develop into the artist I am today.”
