Pre-Professional Program

The Pre-Professional at Lebanon Ballet School is designed for dancers, ages 13+, who are committed to three or more classes weekly of focused and structured ballet training. Classes emphasize the clarity of the classical movements with an increased speed and accuracy of the ballet technique and love of dancing.

Performance opportunities with City Center Ballet are by audition. Dancers are invited to participate in In-studio showcases and in other performance opportunities.

Dress Code

Ballet V

Ages: 13+

Students at this level will have the physical ability to study classical ballet a minium of three days weekly. Dancers are expected to demonstrate responsibility for retention of material, eagerness, and attention to corrections in order to fulfill required technical standards. Students have the benefit of performing opportunities with the City Center Ballet through auditions.

Required: 2 classes weekly
or
3 classes weekly to attend pointe classes
and
1 Conditioning class.

Wednesday: 5:45–7:15 ~ 6 pts

Thursday: 4:15–5:45 ~ 6 pts

Ballet V-VI

Ages: 13+

Additional combined classes for Ballet V and Ballet VI students. These classes will count towards the required classes for both levels.

Tuesday: 4:45–6:15 ~ 6 pts

Saturday: 10:30–12:00 ~ 6 pts

Ballet VI

Ages: 13+

Students in level 6 are committed to serious ballet training and ready to refine their technique by training four days per week. This level equips students with the strength and technical skill to execute complex combinations, pointe work and the artistry of classical variations. Students have the benefit of performing opportunities with the City Center Ballet through auditions. Students are expected to demonstrate responsibility for retention of material, eagerness, and attention to corrections in order to fulfill required technical standards. The benefits of training at this level develops skills such as critical and creative thinking, discipline, and time management.

(2 from Ballet VI and 2 from Ballet V-VI)

Monday: 5:30–6:30 ~ 4 pts

Thursday: 4:15–5:45 ~ 6 pts

Pointe

Ages: 13+ AND by permission of staff

The study of pointe encompasses both the technical and artistic elements of pointe work. Participation in pointe class requires a minimum of three ballet technique classes per week. Dancers must attend the ballet technique class immediately preceding pointe class.

Monday: 6:30–7:00 ~ 2 pts

Pointe-Int
Wednesday: 7:15–7:45 ~ 2 pts

Pointe-Adv
Thursday: 5:45–6:15 ~ 2 pts

Conditioning Int/Adv

Ages: 13+

Physical abilities make the difference between success and failure. Conditioning focuses on strengthening, toning, and stretching using exercises based on pilates, yoga and floor barre classes. The goal of conditioning is to provide a regimen of exercises for the development of a dancer's physical endurance, strength, flexibility, and coordination.

Required: 1 class weekly
